Tenants services
QPS Homes lets and manages residential property in Basingstoke and surrounding areas, including properties across Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey.
Properties may include rooms, flats and houses, which may be furnished or unfurnished, depending on availability and landlord instructions.
Available properties can be viewed via our website. Prospective tenants may also register their requirements to be notified when suitable properties are listed. Property details and availability are subject to change.
Applications and Referencing
Where an application proceeds, tenants will be required to complete an application process, which may include identity checks, referencing and credit checks. Referencing may be carried out by third-party providers. Additional information, such as guarantor details, may be required depending on circumstances.
Holding Deposits and Payments
A holding deposit may be required to reserve a property, in accordance with current legislation. The treatment of any holding deposit will be set out clearly during the application process and in relevant documentation.
Rent is usually payable monthly in advance. Tenants are generally responsible for utilities, council tax and other outgoings, unless otherwise stated in the tenancy agreement.
Security Deposits
Where applicable, a tenancy deposit may be required and will be protected in accordance with Tenancy Deposit Protection legislation. Full details will be provided at the appropriate stage of the tenancy.
Zero Deposit Options
Some properties may be offered with an alternative to a traditional tenancy deposit. Availability and terms are subject to the specific property and landlord instructions.
During the Tenancy
For managed properties, QPS Homes acts on behalf of the landlord in relation to day-to-day management matters, in accordance with the tenancy agreement.
